GreenBeat Nexus Blueprint Sprint – 4 March 2026 | Bad Honnef

The GreenBeat Nexus Blueprint Sprint in Bad Honnef brought together a diverse group of participants from across the music and cultural sectors for a full day of exchange, reflection, and collaboration on the green transition of the music ecosystem.

Organised by the EMC, together with the project consortium, led by INOVA+, and in collaboration with partners The Green Room, On the Move, and KEA European Affairs, the event provided an opportunity to present the GreenBeat Nexus project and open a collective discussion around its three key pillars: mapping needs and best practices, capacity building, and financial support to equip the sector.

A central question guided the day’s conversations: What does the music sector need for the green transition?

Through a combination of group discussions, critical reflection, and interactive session formats, participants explored the needs, barriers, and opportunities currently shaping the sector’s transition. The programme created space not only to identify key challenges, but also to exchange perspectives on future open calls, funding priorities, training approaches, and peer-learning models that can support more sustainable practices across the ecosystem.

One of the most valuable aspects of the day was the diversity of the participants in the room. Bringing together professionals with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enriched the discussions and helped highlight the wide range of realities and needs that exist within the music sector. The event also created important opportunities for networking, allowing participants to connect, share ideas, and build relationships that can support future collaboration.

The Blueprint Sprint was preceded by a partner consortium meeting the day before, which offered a valuable moment for alignment and preparation among the project partners ahead of the wider group discussions. This helped ensure a strong foundation for the exchange that followed during the event itself.

Overall, the day in Bad Honnef marked an important step in shaping a shared understanding of how GreenBeat Nexus can support the sector in moving forward. We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and insights to the conversation.

GreenBeat Nexus is co-funded as Music Moves Europe Initiative by the Creative Europe programme.
